I feel like writing/typing this morning so I thought I would write a bit ’bout the birth of “Creative Creations”… some may find it interesting, some just may not care to know any of the history… but regardless, it feeds my need to let my fingers do some excersize this morning!

“Creative Creations” or “CC” for short was founded by ME, Diamond Hope way back in 2005.  Yeah, it’s been around a while, huh!  Back then I was more into making furniture and building custom homes, which were talored to each individuals idea of a fantasy home in Second LIfe.  I really enjoyed doing custom builds and usually the bigger the better!!!  I then got my fingers into some sim builds which were fabulous.  It was like a painter with a blank canvas and OMGoodness… PRIMS GALORE!  Quite honestly, there is nothing like a sim build, I absolutely love doing them! 

The business didn’t really take off until I started designing outfits for the role playing community in Second Life.  I was extremely curious about the Gorean Lifestyle that had taken off in SL.  I really liked the idea of “acting” out a role, knowing your part as if you were reading/writing/preforming from a script.  Most of all, I loved the attire, both the men’s and women’s.  I loved the setting of the “world inside a world”, but I’ve always been fond of Midevil times… movies, books, graphics, ect.  So this was right down my alley!

My very first outfit ever released was “Slave Sassy”… and just a note to anyone who buys any of my older creations… I apologize for not having some of the knowledge that I do have now.  But like anything in life, you learn as you go and improve accordingly… right?!  Next came “Pretty N Sweet”, “Passion”, “Sweets”, and then “Imperial”.  “Mystic” was the last of the “Old Line”.  The NEW line of silks, which definatly show more of my talent and knowledge in building as well as more options such as the “Rip Script” are all notorious for being named after a song listed on the top ten list at the time it was made.  Special THANKS to my SL hubby for taking the time to make the “Rip Script”… he did a great job!  While I’m tossing out “thank you’s”, another goes to my SL sissy who has also contributed a couple of scripts that we now use in our outfits… and plan on using in our future designs.  She’s also a fabulous scriptor who really knows her stuff when it comes to scripting!

The “NEW” line was a bit of a turning point in “Creative Creations” history, since it was about then when my SL family decided to become a part of what “CC” is now.  They are just as much a part of “CC” as I am and dedicate so much of their time, energy, and loyalty to the store as I do, if not more! 

My “MUM” is a gifted designer and to this day she still amazes me with her ability to manipulate prims to get them SOOO tiny so that her creations show so much detail!!  I absolutely LOVE working with her and she has for sure inspired some of my outfits.  She is also responsible for all of our marketing ideas, from the wonderful catalog that sits in the enterance of our store to the promotion ideas that she keeps up on thru our groups.  Her ideas have definately helped “CC” get to where it is now.  “Thanks MUM”

All in all… “Creative Creations” went from being a furniture/custom build business to a fashion design store that cators to the Gorean community of SL.  We offer not only designs in beautiful silks, but have been focusing on the rough, but sexy look of the Panthers as well.  “CC” also has a gorgeous line of jewelry, all crafted by Marta… remember me saying how good she was with the tiny prims?  Well, her jewelry shows off her skills 100%.  We have talked about venturing into the photography/portfolio biz and I’ve also had thoughts ’bout putting a “shapes” line together… maybe a package deal that you can get a load of stuff all in one purchase (for example, shape, skin, hair, eyes, and outfit)… something that I’m still pondering on, opinions are most welcome on that idea!

So that basically wraps up the history of “CC” and where we are today.  “Creative Creations” would not be where it is today without the help, support, creative talents, and dedication from all of my family… not to mention the loyal customers that purchase our items as well as refer us to others!  A very sincere and special “THANKS” goes out to all of you!
